Updating – so hard to do!

I have made great progress in the past month or so. Time to record my progress.

I’m definitely committed to the WordPress ecosystem to get my ResponsibilityMatrix.com off the ground. If I need specialized functionality in the future, I can always develop a custom app. But, for the foreseeable future, it’s about 99% likely that I can do everything I need through WordPress.

The key is having a good membership capability. I want to freely share most of the Responsibility Matrix. But not all. That’s where certain membership capabilities come into play.

I tried a free WordPress plugin to handle this. It gave me a sense of what’s possible. But it’s just not flexible and sophisticated enough. So I’m going to purchase and try out MemberPress plugin next week. It looks like it should be able to handle about anything I need. Plus, it has a simple training component that I can use to offer the basic courses that I want to embed in my restricted content.

Once again, this may not be the best or most sophisticated training option, but I’m just looking to get things rolling. It should be good enough. And there are certainly other training options (both within the WordPress ecosystem and otherwise) that I can always move toward in the future. If necessary.

So, next week – purchase and test MemberPress.
